De functie

The Retail Auditor has the responsibility to ensure good business practice within the company owned and compony operated BeLux area, including setting up of internal procedures, policies and initiatives, and handling of any deficiencies in cash or stock management. This is a field based position and you will deal with different nationalities.

Key responsibilities
• Internal audits; add value and improve the organization’s field operations. Check on site upon external, legal and internal procedures. Show an objective view of the operations on site and role out actions that will follow from these audit visits.
• Fuel management; perform annual fuel dip readings on all sites and monthly check upon fuel stocks together with the revenue assurance analyst. Assure the revenue of the company in fuel and exclude potential theft in fuels (from depot to site).
• Cash flow management; optimization of the financial flows between the company and external parties and assure sustainable cash flows within the company, in close corporation with accounting.
• Stock management; perform annual stock-taking on all sites and monthly check upon the stock numbers supplied by the revenue assurance analyst and keep the stock rotation in scope. Minimize the costs for the organization to ensure an optimal margin. • Investigations; investigate irregular transactions, stock and cash losses, fraud, theft and analyze the profitability in different shop departments to assure the revenue of the company.
• Maintain internal relations; communicate on a clear and efficient manner with the relevant partners and internal departments (Accounting, Security and Area Sales Management) to ensure that appropriate actions can be taken.
• Procedures; create a uniform way of-working on sites in order to facilitate the audit and accounting checks and write new procedures to cover potential risks on cash and stock flow.

Jouw profiel

• Bachelor degree, preferably in Economics, complemented with relevant work experience
• Good knowledge of the Dutch and French language
• Excellent MS Office skills
• Analytical skills
• Self-motivated, reliable, hands-on mentality and highly flexible
